Artists at the Meadows

Artists at the Meadows is based in unit 32 of the Meadows Shopping Centre. It is an inclusive, artist-led gallery in the heart of Chelmsford, run by the charity Chelmsford Arts and Culture Project. Winner of Best New Business 2024 at the Chelmsford BID Awards, it’s home to 17 resident artists and hosts monthly themed exhibitions showcasing work from across the local creative community.

The space also supports sustainable creativity through its scrap store, which repurposes business waste from the city centre into affordable art and craft materials for schools, families, and makers.

Regular events include the Chelmsford Creative Collective Breakfast (2nd Monday of the month), the Ignite Social (2nd Thursday), and the much-loved Zine Club – check socials for details.

A hub for connection, imagination, and reuse, Artists at the Meadows is where Chelmsford’s creative community comes together.
