Lost in the Flowers
Created by: Diana Mayo
Sponsored by: Chelmsford City Council
Location: Museum of Chelmsford, Oaklands Park
This beautifully illustrated bee is also a map of North Springfield, filled with flower-named roads near artist Diana’s home in Chelmsford. Inspired by a time when she was new to the area—and truly got lost—this design follows bees as they buzz from flower to flower, trying to find their way.
Can you spot the bee that has finally made it home?

Mini bees will be returned to the schools, clubs, care homes and community groups who decorated them to keep as a lasting memory of their participation in the art trail.
