Bee Friendly

Location: Chelmsford War Memorial Gardens
Bee Friendly celebrates sustainability, biodiversity, and the small but powerful ways we can support nature at home. Blooming with wildflowers and buzzing with life, it reminds us that simple actions—like planting a window box or leaving a garden corner wild—can help bees thrive.
At its base, realistic bee hotels highlight the safe spaces we can all create for pollinators. From dry twigs to purpose-built shelters, the message is clear: small changes make a big difference.

You could own this bee!
When the Buzz in the City art trail ends, you’ll have the opportunity to bid on our spectacular giant bee sculptures at a live auction – a unique chance to own a piece of art and local history, while raising much-needed funds for Farleigh Hospice.
Mini bees will be returned to the schools, clubs, care homes and community groups who decorated them to keep as a lasting memory of their participation in the art trail.
